A Bag Filter System is an air pollution control and dust collection device designed to capture and remove particulate matter from industrial gas streams. It operates by passing dusty air or gas through filter bags made of woven or felted fabric. The fabric traps solid particles on its surface while allowing clean air or gas to pass through.

Bag filter systems are widely used in industries such as cement, steel, power generation, pharmaceuticals, food processing, and chemical manufacturing to ensure clean air emissions and compliance with environmental regulations.

Working Principle:
Dust-laden air enters the filter housing and passes through multiple filter bags. As the air flows through the fabric, dust particles are retained on the outer surface of the bags. The cleaned air then exits through the outlet. Periodically, the accumulated dust (called a dust cake) is removed from the bags by a cleaning mechanism such as pulse jet, reverse air, or mechanical shaking, and the collected dust is discharged into a hopper for disposal or recycling.

The system consists of a heavy-duty mild steel or stainless steel construction, housing multiple filter bags made from high-efficiency filter fabric. These filter bags capture fine dust particles from the contaminated air, allowing clean air to pass through and exit the system.

The key feature of the Pulse Jet Bag Filter is its automatic cleaning system:

• Short bursts of compressed air (pulses) are injected into the filter bags at regular intervals.

• This pulse of air causes a rapid expansion of the filter bag, dislodging the accumulated dust from the filter surface.

• The dislodged dust falls into the collection hopper, allowing the system to operate continuously without interruption.

For superior durability and corrosion resistance, the entire assembly is finished with two coats of primer and two coats of enamel paint.
